This Palm tree for the nativity scene, small is for colored nativity scene, is an exceptional piece of craftsmanship from the Björn Köhler workshop, made from the finest linden wood and stained in color. It is extremely elaborately handcrafted and impresses with its timelessly clear shapes and balanced, translucent color scheme.
The warm-toned, reddish-brown stained stem rises in an elegant, gentle curve from a round, stable base and bears at its summit a lush crown of foliage, composed of several carefully crafted palm fronds glazed in dark green. The individual leaves are crafted as curved, teardrop-shaped wooden discs arranged around the trunk in a fan-like, slightly staggered formation; depending on the viewing angle, this creates a lively, organic image that captures the characteristic silhouette of a real palm tree in a beautifully minimalist way. The interplay between the deep green tones of the leaves and the warm reddish-brown of the trunk lends the figure a natural color harmony and a Mediterranean lightness.
The palm tree is designed to complement the small, colorful nativity set from Björn Köhler and blends harmoniously into the atmospheric nativity ensemble. With its high-quality craftsmanship and timeless design, it brings the miracle of Christ’s birth into the Christmas home—for many, many years. Whether as part of a nativity scene or as a standalone eye-catcher in your festive décor, this handcrafted wooden palm tree is a piece of Christmas craftsmanship designed to last for generations.
