The broad gable roof is particularly striking. It consists of two long wooden planks. Instead of meeting at the top in a classic, sharp peak, they create a somewhat open and asymmetrical effect, giving the stable its distinctive character. Furthermore, the roof planks extend beyond the walls on both sides, creating a pronounced overhang.
The side walls are large and gently curved, giving the stable the look of a simple, rustic wooden structure. At the same time, the curved shapes create a soft, harmonious impression. A sheltered interior space is located beneath the roof; it is open at the front.
Inside, there are several curved wooden elements. They form a kind of natural boundary, creating a sheltered area for the Holy Family. The various wooden pieces also create interesting shadows and depth.
The stable stands on a broad wooden base. This forms the floor of the entire nativity scene. It is distinctly rounded at the front and features beveled edges, giving the base a solid, finely crafted appearance.
Overall, the Altea stable has a simple, high-quality, and modern look. At the same time, the natural wood gives it a warm, traditional feel. This makes it an especially good match for the clean, modern designs of the Aram figures, which are crafted from sycamore maple wood.
The combination of natural wood, curved side walls, an open interior, and a distinctive roof makes the stable an understated yet highly characterful backdrop for a modern nativity scene.
The Altea stable is designed to house the modern Aram nativity figures, creating a harmonious and well-coordinated nativity scene. The Holy Family—Mary, Joseph, and the Baby Jesus—takes center stage. The Baby Jesus can be placed centrally within the stable, while Mary and Joseph stand protectively beside Him. Thanks to the open front, the figures remain clearly visible and can be viewed from various angles.
The scene can be further enhanced with additional figures from the Aram series. These include, for example, shepherds, angels, and the Three Wise Men. Animals can also be incorporated into the scene, lending the stable a lively and traditional feel.
The various figures can be arranged both inside the stable and on the base plate in front of it, creating a sense of depth. At the same time, attention can be specifically drawn to the Baby Jesus. The combination of modern, clean-lined figures and the natural wood of the stable is particularly striking. The result is a contemporary nativity scene with an Alpine character, in which the stable and figures form a visually cohesive whole.
The stable thus not only provides suitable shelter for the nativity figures but also serves as the visual focal point of the entire nativity scene.
