This simple yet impressive 3D Trabant and Wartburg light arch is lovingly and traditionally handcrafted by the Saico company.
For many years, candle arches have been decorating living rooms and window sills at Christmas time and conjure up a cozy light that invites you to linger.
The 3D Trabant and Wartburg light arch is a fascinating piece made of natural wood that combines modern and traditional elements. Several electric LED candles are spread across the arch, which are cleverly hidden behind the iconic GDR traffic light men, which gives the arch a playful charm.
In the center of the light arch are two classic GDR vehicles: a Trabant and a Wartburg. Both cars are designed with great attention to detail and symbolize the automotive history of East Germany. The two cars are arranged next to each other, which underlines the importance of both brands for the GDR.
In the background is the Berlin skyline, which forms a wonderful backdrop for the vehicles. This creates a strong connection to the capital and everyday life in the GDR.
A hot air balloon floats above the two vehicles, which has a special symbolism. The balloon stands for freedom and new beginnings, which is in stark contrast to the political reality of the GDR. At the same time, it adds a dreamy and light touch that lightens the scene.
The entire arch of lights conveys a feeling of nostalgia for the past and is reminiscent of a bygone era. Thanks to the LEDs and the loving design, this memory is atmospherically illuminated. The arch is not only a visual highlight, but also an expression of the cultural heritage of East Germany. A real eye-catcher for collectors and lovers of GDR history.

You can hand in old batteries at a municipal collection point or at a local retailer. As a distributor of batteries, we are also obliged to take back old batteries, although our obligation to take back is limited to old batteries of the type that we have or have had in our range as new batteries.
