The angel and miner couple from Peter Ulbricht is one of the most important figures in the Ore Mountains.
The angel and the miner are probably the most original couple in Erzgebirge folk art with a long, venerable tradition. These light figures from the Erzgebirge are characterized by their elaborate handwork and are painted in strong colors by skilled hands.
The miner proudly presents the traditional Schneeberg costume. His black jacket is artfully decorated with gold buttons. The miner’s friendly face shines with alert eyes, rosy cheeks and a gray mustache. A green cap adorned with gold decorations sits atop his head. The attention to detail is evident in every fine nuance of his costume.
The angel, on the other hand, wears a floor-length white dress that is decorated with gold decorations at the waist and hem. A colorful, yet subtle polka dot pattern adorns the dress in the chest and leg areas. The angel’s red wings are also decorated with a gold polka dot pattern, which underlines the grace and elegance of the figure.
Both figures hold traditionally designed candles in their hands, which bathe the Ore Mountains in a warm light. The combination of miner and angel embodies the deep connection to regional history and culture. Environmental damage caused by incorrect disposal of batteries
Batteries must not be disposed of in household waste. You are legally obliged to return old batteries so that proper disposal can be ensured. You can hand in old batteries at a municipal collection point or at a local retailer. For batteries that contain more than 0.0005 percent mercury (HG) by weight, more than 0.002 percent cadmium (Cd) by weight or more than 0.004 percent lead (Pb) by weight, the chemical name of the pollutant used is located under the garbage can symbol.
Dispose of electrical devices in an environmentally friendly manner
Electrical devices must not be disposed of with household waste. According to the European directive on waste electrical and electronic equipment, used electrical devices must be collected separately and sent to special collection and return systems. Owners of old devices from private households can hand them in at the collection points of the public waste disposal authorities or at the return points set up by manufacturers or distributors in accordance with the ElektroG.
Make sure that no beard hairs protrude in front of or into the mouth hole, otherwise no suction can be created and the cone can suffocate.
