The little angel with the friendly face is holding a model of the first narrow-gauge steam locomotive in Saxony. This steam locomotive comes from the Richard-Hartmann works in Chemnitz, where it was manufactured in 1881. Unfortunately, no locomotive of this series has been preserved. In 2009, however, the Association for the Promotion of Saxon Schmalspurbahnen e.V. put a true-to-original replica on the rails, which can currently be admired on the Preßnitztalbahn. Aren’t they pretty to look at, this little angel in a short white dress and a golden crown on his head?!
