The candle holder Annaberg traditional costume figure hat house woman from the Breitfeld woodturning workshop is made by hand in the traditional way and lovingly painted. The figure is 35 cm high and impresses with its high-quality workmanship. It is turned, carved and carefully painted by hand, making each figure unique. The hat house woman wears a traditional costume consisting of a yellow dress with a brown fabric apron and a green vest. Her brown hat completes the authentic appearance. In one hand she holds a red candle holder with gold decorations, which is suitable for wax candles with a diameter of 14 mm or LED candles such as Lumix. In the other hand she carries a tray which refers to the caring role of the hat house woman.

The colors of the figure are warm and harmonious, which creates an inviting and appealing effect. The combination of wood, fabric and the lovingly applied layers of paint makes the figure a true work of art. The candle holder is also functionally designed, with a spout insert and drip catcher, which also makes the figure practical to use.

A hut house was a central facility in mining. It served as a meeting place for miners before and after their shift. Tools, clothing and documents were stored here. The hut housewife had an important role: she prepared food, looked after the miners and thus contributed to the community. This figure honors the hut housewife as a symbol of care and solidarity in everyday miners’ lives. It combines cultural heritage with decorative functionality and is an impressive piece of Erzgebirge craftsmanship.

Environmental damage caused by incorrect disposal of batteries

Batteries must not be disposed of in household waste. You are legally obliged to return old batteries so that proper disposal can be ensured. You can hand in old batteries at a municipal collection point or at a local retailer. As a distributor of batteries, we are also obliged to take back old batteries, although our obligation to take back is limited to old batteries of the type that we have or have had in our range as new batteries. You can therefore either send old batteries of the aforementioned type back to us with sufficient postage or hand them in free of charge directly in our store at the address given in the imprint.

Batteries are marked with the symbol of a crossed-out garbage can. This symbol indicates that batteries must not be thrown in household waste. For batteries that contain more than 0.0005 percent mercury (HG) by weight, more than 0.002 percent cadmium (Cd) by weight or more than 0.004 percent lead (Pb) by weight, the chemical name of the pollutant used is located under the garbage can symbol.

Owners of old devices from private households can hand them in at the collection points of the public waste disposal authorities or at the return points set up by manufacturers or distributors in accordance with the ElektroG.
