This matchbox – after work is another small miniature world from the house of Gisbert Neuber, lovingly and detailed handcrafted.
In the past, the matchbox was mainly intended as a packaging for miniatures, until little by little the small miniature worlds found their way into them. Since then, miniature worlds have been created in the small boxes, which make eyes wide open.
With over 120 motifs, there is something for everyone and for every occasion.
After the work is done, grandma and grandpa have made themselves comfortable on the bench for their house while grandma with the gray hair and the gray dress with a green apron is knitting and grandpa is smoking a pipe with relish. Green fir trees, a toadstool and a small bird make this matchbox something very special.
The background of the matchbox – closing time is elaborately hand-painted with an eye for detail and shows the house of the two pensioners as well as green fields and white clouds in the otherwise blue sky.
