In the front part of the candle arch is the stable of Bethlehem in which Mary and Joseph are standing praying next to the manger in which their newborn baby is lying, on the stable under the Christmas star is a golden angel to announce the good news. While the shepherds of the surrounding area watch this scene reverently with their animals, the three kings bring their gifts, while in the upper part of the candle arch Jerusalem rests reverently illuminated in the dark night under a clear starry sky.
