This meticulously detailed smoker, fruit and vegetable vendor, from the “The Bearded Ones” series, is made by KWO and is a testament to traditional Erzgebirge craftsmanship. The artisans handcraft it with great attention to detail. The smoker measures 18 cm in height and is stained.
He is depicted as a fruit and vegetable vendor. He presents many small, hand-painted details in his tray. You’ll notice lovingly crafted tomatoes, carrots, and cucumbers, as well as radishes and a head of lettuce. A small, woven basket of mushrooms hangs from the front of his tray. He carries a basket on his back with which he transports his fruit and vegetables. Inside this basket is another basket containing apples and pears.
The figure wears a blue jacket with small buttons and a red and white checked apron. His red cap and long white beard give him a friendly appearance. The smokehouse, a separate element, represents his status. Smoke flows from it as soon as an incense cone is lit. This smoker is a particularly beautiful example of Erzgebirge folk art. Electrical devices must not be disposed of with household waste. According to the European directive on waste electrical and electronic equipment, used electrical devices must be collected separately and sent to special collection and return systems.
