Holzkunst Müller Klingenthal lovingly handcrafts this star arch with red carolers and a keen eye for detail.
This candle arch is a fascinating example of how tradition meets modern aesthetics. This artfully designed arch combines clear, simple forms with an impressive wow factor.
The star arch with red carolers stands on a rectangular base made of dark wood, which serves as a stable foundation for the entire arrangement. Resting on it is a white-lacquered, curved wooden arch that curves elegantly upwards and then inwards in a semicircle. This arch is reminiscent of a crescent moon and frames the center of the decoration.
In the center of the arch hangs a bright yet delicate Moravian star. The shape of the arch draws attention directly to this star, which could symbolize the Star of Bethlehem.
To the right of the arch is a small platform, also made of wood and painted dark. On this platform stand three small wooden figures. These are so-called “Kurrende” singers, traditional Christmas figures from the Ore Mountains. The figures are depicted as children and wear red coats with white collars, dark boots, and small hats with pompoms. Each figure holds a different accessory: The first figure on the left holds a book. The middle figure carries a long staff with a star on top, reminiscent of the star bearer. The figure on the right plays an instrument.
The figures are simply but very expressively painted. Their faces are friendly, hinted at with delicate strokes. Although the design is minimalist, the figures appear lively and festive. The red clothing stands out clearly against the bright arch and the white background, creating a beautiful contrast. The composition is symmetrical and harmonious, lending the entire ensemble a calm and festive atmosphere.
In summary, the image shows a stylized, modern Christmas decoration that incorporates traditional elements such as the carolers and the poinsettia, presenting them in a simple, contemporary design language. It combines tradition and design, conveying a warm, peaceful atmosphere.
