All chip items from the Rudolph company are cut individually and by hand with sharp irons. The iron is used to pull individual chips from wooden sticks until they stand up like curls on the wooden stick.
The middle of this window picture is decorated with a wooden scar on the outside of which there is a wooden star. At this scar, eight chip trees of different sizes connect to form a large star.
