This light house in the Dresden Frauenkirche is lovingly handcrafted with an eye for detail.
Light houses already have a long tradition. The first examples were made around 1900. To this day, the light houses from Birgit Uhlig are popular eye-catchers during the Christmas and winter season. When the days get shorter, a house of lights conjures up a cozy and comfortable atmosphere. which invites you to linger.
Bring the world-famous Dresden Frauenkirche home, the freshly fallen snow makes the whole church glitter beautifully and deliberately. In front of the entrance to the church you can see a family with a pram and a couple who has just come out of the church. A little boy, wrapped up in a hat and coat, is walking cheerfully through the glittering snow.
The church, first mentioned in the 11th century, was completely destroyed shortly before the end of the Second World War and lovingly and faithfully rebuilt over many years. Now, like this house of lights, it shines again in full, imposing splendor.
