This Gnome Country Boy incense figure is another beautiful incense figure from Christian Ulbricht. Lovingly handcrafted and with an eye for detail, true to the motto “Wood couldn’t be more beautiful.”
Christian Ulbricht’s Gnome Candle Arch Builder incense figure is a figure that impresses with its many loving details. It is made of high-quality wood, some of which has been left natural, some of which has been stained or colored, creating a harmonious and warm overall appearance. The gnome stands on a round base made of light wood, which ensures stability and underlines its rustic character.
He wears a brown coat made of felt or imitation suede, which appears simple yet high-quality. His legs and shoes are dark-stained and appear solid, conveying an impression of steadfastness and down-to-earthness. In his hands, he holds a delicately crafted miniature candle arch, which is the central element of this figure.
The candle arch is brightly colored and features small trees, candles, a star in the center, and a miniature Santa Claus, a charming detail with wit and recognition. The four candles on the candle arch are stylized and resemble small wooden flames. Everything is precisely cut and lovingly assembled.
His face is friendly, with a large, rosy nose, a white beard, and bushy eyebrows. Particularly striking are his round, wire-framed glasses, which give him a clever and skilled appearance. The glasses sit perched on his nose and emphasize his large, inquisitive eyes. On his head, the gnome wears a soft brown fabric cap, which sits slightly tilted and enhances his playful nature. A small pipe protrudes from the corner of his mouth, indicating that he is an incense burner.
The upper body can be removed to allow the insertion of an incense cone. When lit, the smoke rises through the slightly open mouth, giving him life and creating a cozy atmosphere.
This figure combines tradition, craftsmanship, and humor. It is not just a decoration, but also an expression of Erzgebirge culture.
