The origin of the unusual name goes back to a time in which many of the Crottendorfer farmers could afford no cow for milk production and therefore kept goats. The inhabitants of the neighboring villages then gave the Crottendorf residents the nickname “goat legs”. Because the wooden figure represents a smoking incense candle, she received this name.
