This owl tealight lantern is an artfully designed Christmas decoration that is traditionally and lovingly handcrafted by the renowned company Richard Glässer.
The owl tealight lantern features a detailed design with two beautifully designed owls sitting on branches. The larger owl is on the left, while the smaller one sits next to it on the right. Both owls have bright, warm colors that are gently accentuated by the flickering light of the candle. The owls’ bodies are in yellow and orange tones, and the birds’ eyes and beaks stand out clearly.
Small, green leaves are evenly distributed around the owls, underlining the natural theme. The wood of the lantern is light and gives it a rustic, natural charm. The round shape of the lantern ensures that the light is evenly distributed and the cutouts in the shape of the owls and leaves create a soft, cozy play of light.
This lantern creates an atmospheric atmosphere and is ideal for nature and animal lovers. It is perfect as a decoration during the Christmas season or as a year-round accessory that brings warmth and coziness to any home.

The tradition of tree decorations:
The tradition of Christmas tree decorations characterizes the Christmas season and dates back to the Middle Ages. People decorate the tree to symbolize life and fertility, especially during the long winter months. Even then, they hung decorations on the trees during the winter to ward off evil spirits and welcome spring.
In Germany, the custom began in the 16th century. At first, people hung apples, nuts and pastries on the trees, which stood for life and abundance. They also decorated the trees with paper flowers and straw stars. The apples represented the tree of life from the story of creation, while the straw stars symbolized the star of Bethlehem.
Over the years, people continued to develop the decorations. In the 19th century, the custom of hanging candles on the trees, which embodied light and hope, arose. Later, electric fairy lights replaced the candles to prevent fires.
A particularly important tradition arose in Germany with the hanging of glass ornaments. Glassblowers in Lauscha, Thuringia, began making delicate glass figures in the 19th century. These ornaments gained worldwide recognition and shaped classic Christmas decorations. To this day, artisans keep this tradition alive.
In addition to balls and stars, angels, gnomes, animals and bells also decorate Christmas trees. Each of these figures has a special meaning. Angels symbolize God’s protection, bells remind us of the good news of the birth of Christ, and gnomes like the one pictured represent protection and kindness that protect the home and family.

You can hand in old batteries at a municipal collection point or at a local retailer. As a distributor of batteries, we are also obliged to take back old batteries, although our obligation to take back is limited to old batteries of the type that we have or have had in our range as new batteries.
