The origins of candle production in Ebersbach go back to 1949, when the company "Gottwald and Co" started producing candles as a small private company.
In 1990 the privatization and renaming to "Ebersbacher Wachswaren GmbH" took place. Ebersbacher Wachswaren GmbH was acquired by Treuhand as part of an MbO in 1992 from three employees of the then company.
With a significantly smaller workforce, the company developed positively. In 2005, a new investor was found in JEKA Kerzen GmbH, an Austrian candle manufacturer from Styria. At the previous location, the Ebersbacher Kerzenfabrik GmbH was founded, which started business operations in February 2007.
