Barthel Zinn

The company Barthel Zinn from Freiberg was founded in 1989 as a one-man business and has grown into a family business to this day.

In the local workshop tin is processed in qualitative and traditional craftsmanship with a purity of 99.5%. The alloy additions of 1-2% copper and antimony each increase the strength of the tin.

The molten tin is poured into preheated metal molds, cooled with wet rags, and after solidification, the casting is removed from the mold. Then the cast blanks are machined by hand mechanically by turning (turning), brushing, soldering, etc.

The designs and engravings as well as the mold making all come from the own workshop.
